We’re a small crew, and that’s on purpose. Every technician who pulls up to a home in Woodland Hills, Calabasas, or Tarzana has trained under the same roof and answers to the same standard. No subcontractors, no mystery third parties, no “someone will call you back.” The people below are the actual people you’ll see on your driveway, in uniform, with a written quote in hand before any tool comes off the truck. We’ve been doing this in the San Fernando Valley since 2002, and most of us have been at it long enough to remember garage doors without smart openers.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Jaylen Ross, Owner and Lead Technician
Jaylen founded Marlow Garage Door Repair Woodland Hills in 2002 and still runs calls most weeks. He’s the first to admit he never planned on a career in garage doors. He started as a helper on a framing crew, took a side job replacing a door for a neighbor in Winnetka, and never looked back. Jaylen is certified to service LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor systems, and he’s the guy other technicians call when a spring setup has them stumped. He once had a torsion spring snap during a brand demo in front of a homeowner. “Loudest thing I’ve ever heard,” he says. “I still flinch when I wind one tight.” That’s why every new tech shadows him for six months before handling a spring solo.
Marcus T., Senior Installer
Marcus joined the crew in 2009 after nearly a decade in commercial door installation across LA County. He’s the specialist for heavy custom doors, wood carriage doors, and anything on a side-mount opener conversion. Marcus is Wayne Dalton and Raynor certified and handles most of our canopy-to-torsion spring conversions in older Woodland Hills homes, where the garage was built for a car from 1962 and now holds two SUVs and a Peloton. He’s famously quiet until you ask about the 1965 Ford Mustang he’s been restoring for eleven years. The garage door on that car’s storage unit works perfectly, naturally.
Dana W., Service Coordinator
Dana is the voice on the phone at 3 a.m., because yes, we answer at 3 a.m. She’s been with Marlow since 2015 and knows the Valley’s neighborhoods the way a cab driver used to. If you tell her your garage is off a street with a name like “Azul” or “Oak”, she likely knows the exit. Dana schedules every job, matches the right tech to the right door, and sends your live arrival tracking link the moment a tech is dispatched. She’s also the one who walks you through the written quote process before anyone shows up, so there are zero surprises. Her garage door at home is original to 1978 and she refuses to replace it, which the team finds hilarious.
Leo R., Apprentice Technician
Leo is the newest member of the crew, two years in and already a certified Chamberlain and Genie service tech. He works alongside Jaylen or Marcus on most calls, handling track realignment, opener programming, and photo-eye sensor issues while he builds hours toward full spring certification. Leo grew up in Woodland Hills and went to El Camino Real Charter High School, so he knows the streets by heart and can tell you which neighborhoods have the steepest driveways. He’s also fluent in Spanish, which means our Spanish-speaking customers get the same detailed explanation of every repair without a translation gap.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this page works to one set of rules, and those rules don’t flex based on the job size or the neighborhood. The written price comes first. Before any spring is unwound, before any cable is touched, you get a line-item quote on paper or on your phone, and the number on your invoice matches the number you approved. That’s the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if a repair fails within a year, we come back and fix it free. And the Relay Visibility Guarantee means you see your tech en route with live tracking, plus before-and-after photos and a digital invoice you can pay by link. Jaylen built the company on this standard in 2002, and it hasn’t changed since. If you’re in Woodland Hills and your garage door won’t open, call us at (341) 888-6519. A real person will answer.
